Piccolo hotel di charme, lussuoso e molto curato nei dettagli. L'ubicazione a 5 km circa dal centro città non è un grave difetto considerando che Mandalay è una città molto caotica, inquinata e trafficata. La struttura è recente, costruita in stile birmano-indonesiano, con una bellissima piscina (sebbene frequentata da rumorosissimi bambini cinesi di buone famiglie dei dintorni, che rendono difficile un vero relax). Ottimo, anche se caro soprattutto rispetto al costo della vita in Birmania, il ristorante (nel caso, consiglio vivamente il fantastico curry di melanzane). Le stanze sono belle, pulite e curate nei dettagli (anche se con bagno un po' piccolo). Complessivamente ottima struttura.

When we arrived to "Rupar Mandalar Resort" we were very warmly welcomed and even after we said that we just want to have a look we were guided around the Resort incl. rooms etc. When we saw what Mandalar offers in respect of Hotels we were very sad that we stayed elsewhere. Rupar Mandalar Resort is stunning, the pool, the pool deck, the entrance, the setting for dinner, the rooms... 5 star at its best! If I would one day come back to Mandalay it would be Rupar Mandalar - nothing else!
By the way, the location is a bit remote (5 min. driving from town) but on the other hand it makes it more quiet.

We stayed over Christmas 2007 and had a fantastic time. They have nice rooms, lush grounds, a variety of restaurants, a huge pool, a gym and a spa. They made Chistmas very special by serving an incredible dinner with traditional Burmese musicians & dancers entertaining which was brilliant! We'd highly recommend the Rupar Mandalar. We'd also recommend booking through a Burmese agent in Rangoon as you can get much better rates.

Etablissement très confortable situé dans un quartier excentré. Les bungalows souffrent cependant d'une décoration hésitante et l'éclairage reste insuffisant.
Mais l'immense piscine est accueillante, le personnel charmant et le petit déjeuner et les repas pris dans le jardin sont un véritable enchantement.
Nous avons passé ici le réveillon de Noel, il y avait un spectacle de danses birmanes et différents numéros, le repas était copieux et nous n'étions qu'une dizaine de clients. Pour moi qui déteste les foules, c'était parfait et le service était fort prévenant.
C'est certainement l'un des meilleurs hôtels de Mandalay.
