This hotel is amazing - really tranquil, peaceful and beautiful. The individual huts are large, and very stylish and well appointed (ours lacked one bedside table; however, since there are thick mosquito nets, that was not so important, and I'm sure if asked they would have provided one straight away). There were fresh flowers scattered throughout our rooms, and everything possible for our comfort was to hand - even a book on the local birds so we could identify the many species around. There are some fun features like the outdoor showers, and although there was plenty of provision for the exclusion of mosquitos, they were not as bad as we feared. The spa is well designed and will worth a visit, and the staff throughout charming and helpful. This is a magical hotel in a magical place and by far the best place to stay at Inle.

We stayed for 3 nights on this extraordinary hotel. Bathrooms are hand painted, with incredible details on every corner. Service was excepcional and food was very good.

We`ve stayed one night only (our only regret) to this magnificent resort on Inle Lake. Everything was perfect: service was excellent, food was very good, the chalet was just perfect! Very large chalet with 3 beds (1 king & 2 twins) which were perfect for our 2 little kids. You also have a big bathroom an outside shower, a living area and a balcony.
The place is very clean, and well located towards the entrance of the lake. Our only warning is to bring warm clothes as it gets very cold during the night. One of our coup de coeur in Asia.

Agreeing with all the positives mentioned in other reviews I would also like to add, that our chalet had a private outdoor shower, and that the blankets and the hot water bottle together with a very good mosquito net that doubled as a tent certainly provided plenty of warmth at night, so there was no need to ask for help with the fireplace, which I am sure would have been no problem. Inle Lake is a magical place and Inle Princess Resort is a place that brings the best out of the lake atmosphere and serenity. Excellent service. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Inle Princess for two nights the first week of January 2010. It's a truly lovely property with so many comforts despite its remote location. We had the "Inle Princess" chalet, with high ceilings, a comfy bed, sitting area, and huge patio over the water. All the chalets seem pretty private and filled with artisan furniture, and ceramics and papergoods hand-crafted on-site.
The food was the best hotel food we had in Myanmar. They'll deliver whatever you want for breakfast to your room for no charge, which is so convenient for those early Burma flights! I had the Shan dinner one night and it was delicious.
It was COLD at night, but the staff fixed a fire in the fireplace and gave us hot water bottles. The bed was piled with blankets. It was really quite fun. The only critique I have of the place is the bathroom, or tub room I should say.. our room's shower was outdoors, with zero privacy (?), so I don't think people would actually use it even if it was warm enough. So that left us with a sponge bath in the huge bathtub room which couldn't get warm, and with hot water enough for only one person... not exactly pleasant but the hubby and I had a lot of laughs.
Unlike other lake hotels, motorboats don't drive by so it's very quiet and serene. You can borrow bikes to ride to a nearby village. The staff is so attentive and friendly. It's a very sweet, romantic place.

This Hotel is amazing!! It's calm, secluded, comfortable, and ultra charming and romantic!
The MUST stay at Inle Lake in my opinion.
The staff is extremly friendly and helpful which makes the stay even more enjoyable.
Restaurant is nicely decorated with a beautiful terrace on the lake. Dishes are very good (incl. nice cappucino for the coffee addicted...)
We stayed in a villa with a private terrace on the lake. The room was very nice, spacious and with an outdoor shower (not all rooms have this facility). They showed us several rooms and asked us which one we would like to have...
The garden is beautiful and very well kept.

The only improvement in my view could be the spa. It's very nice and the massage was good but the steam room facility was a bit weired and overall it could be a little bit more professional.
Clearly, this is our favourite (we have also stayed one night in another resort which is not comparable at all) and would immediately go back as well as recommend to friends and whoever goe to Inle Lake.

This outstanding Hotel was definitely our Highlight during our Birma-Trip! The Bungalows are spacious, very nice and trendy furnished, with a beautiful Lotus-Garden. The Hotel is not situated on the busy Mainroad on the Inle Lake. 300 metres before the Hotel the motor of the Boat switches off and Rowing staff comes on bord. It must be the only quiet hotel on the lake... The Restaurant is also very trendy, food is great! The Hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Every time we got off the Boat the hotel staff greeted us by our Name, gave us refreshing towels. We had a nice bungalow on the Backside with Mountain View and Bananatrees right and left. But it would have also been quiet with seaview. Every evening the staff decorated our room and bed with fresh flowers, we even got a nice gift from the hotel... It was definitely worth the price and I could stay there forever!

The Princess is a wonderful place to stay. It is right on the lake, but in a quiet secluded spot. The bungalows are beautiful and done is a local traditional style. The staff never cease to smile and couldn't have been more helpful. The restaurant is surprisingly reasonable given the fact that there is nothing else around for eating options. Select local food- fish, noodles, etc. and you can't go wrong. Lots of really cold Myanmar beer. Every detail is seen to and our stay was regretability too short.
• Liked — Attention to detail, design quality of the bungalows, very friendly and helpful staff
• Disliked — nothing

INLE PRINCESS RESORT
We stayed 2 nights at the Inle Princess Resort and enjoyed it so much. It was incredible how quite and peaceful the surroundings and environment were.
The room, which itself is like a separate bungalow or a log cabin is situated on the water which is part of the Inle Lake. The room is very spacious with two long divans and a table, along side the beds. You can stretch out or even take a nap on the divans.

The room also leads out to an outdoor verandah area with chairs and a table where you can enjoy the Lake view or read and relax. Bird watching is also possible if you are interested as a binocular and a book on birds from Burma is provided. Bicycle (push bike) riding is also available through Magyizin Village.
Buffet breakfast is spread out on the open air deck over looking the Inle Lake which consists of English, European and typical Burmese food which we all enjoyed. Dinner was also excellent and the staff, waiters and waitresses could converse in English very well. Communication would not be a problem at all. Every staff member that you meet, whether a gardener that you meet on the way to your room or the waiter, waitress, the souvenir shop attendant or the Reception area staff are very friendly, smiling and would greet you every single time. They are all very helpful and you would not find one thing to complain about as the service is exceptional.

My roots are from Burma but I have lived in Australia for the last 21 years and have traveled to New York and Las Vegas. I can honestly recommend Inle Princess Resort as it meets the standard of any other 5 Star international Hotels.

Architecture of the resort is beautiful, wood carvings on the roofs, Room is spacious and decorated beautifully. Terrace is just magical facing the lake, rowers come right up to your terrace, the scene transports you back in time. The lake is unspoiled and can watch the unique agriculture using the lake to grow crops year round. The dining room is decorated beautifully with lanterns and rice paper sculptures. The food is delicious. The noodle dishes of the Karen people are superb. This hotel offers an exposure to the unique lake culture, and relaxing in a beautiful environment.
