What a Fantastic Place starting from the amazing garden, multitude of mango trees, bougainvillaea, Frangipanee, Flambloyant, etc...All in full bloom during my stay ! The comfortable and spacious room designed with style, the refreshing panoramic view of the lake throughout, it was just prefect...The food was great through a bit pricey but I was expecting it in such a remote place having imported goods and the last but not the least. Their delicious organic vegetable and salad coming right away from their garden. What a special treat after over 10 days of oily and tasteless food, I could not have end up better this journey through burma.

We’ve stayed at many top class hotels in Myanmar - but the Inle Lake View Resort has be a highlight. It's beautifully located at the banks of the lake, has spacious and clean rooms which are furnished in style and offers very good food (owner is French).

But I think it's all about the cathegory of room you take. We had room 503 which is on the top floor (1st floor) of a chalet with totally 4 rooms (2 down, 2 up). This upper floor rooms offer fantastic lake view from the balcony (2 beds).
A real surprise had been the food. After 3 days of terrible food we were so glad to find a place where we were able to enjoy the food. From the bread basket with cheese crusted brioche to the Indian cusine to even the very french breakfast it has been great.

In general I would really recommend this spot.

Inle lake view is a top class hotel on the west side of lake inle. It is set back around 1km from the lake itself which can be accessed by boat via a narrow canal. The hotel is situated next to a village with a couple of roadside restaurants but there's really nowhere to go on a night so you will probably have meals at the hotel. The main building is in wooden colonial style and the rooms are stylish and clean with a fridge but no aircon. This is not really a problem as the climate at the lake is quite cool and the room has a fan. Our room was on the first floor and had a view of the lake in the distance but some of the rooms didn't have a lake view. The staff were friendly and efficient and at least a couple spoke excellent English. Food in the restaurant was ok but not brilliant for the price which is huge for Myanmar. The hotel can organise the hire of boats to tour the lake and this was 25 dollars for half day or 35 for full day. We felt the half day was a little overpriced but the full day was very good value, though I would guess it would be cheaper if arranged through a less expensive hotel.

Reception drew up an itinerary which the boatman followed. Ours spoke no English at all, and was a little surly- perhaps the only Burmese person who didn't smile constantly! One small negative was that we were charged 5 dollars for 20 minutes on the Internet- at a hotel of this standard I would have expected it to be free. In summary, this is a very nice hotel with excellent standard rooms and efficient staff.

It's location is maybe not ideal as it's not on the lake and being west side misses out on sunsets. However it's 35 minutes to heho airport by car so ideal if you have an early flight. Other hotels on the lake often need a boat and car transfer. If you want a safe, high standard option with easy transport access inle lake view us a good choice, though expect to pay high end western prices for the priviledge.

once entering the Inle Lake View Resort it was just magic ,i was quite impressed by the garden and the lay out of the resort offering views of the lake throughout...the rooms are neat and nicely furnished without excess and in short gorgeous considering the panoramic view of the lake from within or on the balcony...we had diner twice in a romantic atmosphere on the verandah and the western food we ordered was tasty and properly balance just what i was looking for, especially after 10 days travelling throughout Myanmar and eating local food a bit too oily and insipid

This hotel is one of the best (most expensive) on Inle Lake. We expected it to be well appointed and a great experience and it was pretty good. The hotel has all the ingredients to make it a premier establishment, however there are a few things they have not got quite right. Only small things such as the upkeep of the gardens and the pathways being loose uneven gravel let the place down.

The staff here were very helpful and I was impressed by the room that had a great view and was as expected well appointed.
The meals were very nice.

An interesting point is the "green" view that the management have taken, using an Australian company to install a range of water treatment plant within the resort - a good move.
Overall I would recommend this resort.

This is an excellent choice if you go to Inle Lake. The hotel takes care of every detail: rooms are spacious, tasteful and spotlessly clean. Our room had a balcony with fabulous views over the gardens of the hotel and the lake. The staff was extremely helpful. You can arrange the boat service from the hotel and they have their own jetty. Food was excellent. Breakfast is included and we had a wonderful dinner in the garden. The hotel is about one hour from Heho airport. Inle Lake is a fabulous place to relax and see the local life with the fishermen, floating villages, tobacco, silver, bronze and weaving workshops. Getting the right hotel in Inle Lake is important since there is not much to do after sunset.

You do not see the hotel as you approach by boat from the lake so wonder what to expect. The walkway up to reception is pleasant but nothing special and then you reach the reception/foyer area that is elegant and tasteful. Décor throughout is stylish without being lavish and the rooms are immaculately presented with views of the gardens and lake from the rooms ( ours at least and I would expect most others) . The lake was in its low level season when we were there and although maybe 200 metres away was a lovely sight. Good service and good food in the restaurant. For those who prefer to eat at locally owned places, there is no other restaurant within walking distance and only a basic small shop not open at night.. It is very quiet here and I would expect most people to be staying only one or two nights while visiting the lake and sights. For that at this price its perfect.
