Pandaw Cruises is the largest luxury river cruise company in Asia and they began here in Myanmar. The unique Pandaw river expedition concept evolved from the vestiges of the colonial Irrawaddy Flotilla Company. The 24 stateroom Pandaw II is one of the best known riverboats in the country and operates a choice of 6 different itineraries. The Chindwin River cruise reaches remote Homalin, as far as it is possible to go by riverboat. Guests remark that life on board a Pandaw is more like being a guest on a private motor yacht than a cruise ship. Watch the scenery slowly pass you by whilst you relax on the promenade deck of this oasis of discreet comfort and caring service.
Mr Myanmar Travel can book your Pandaw cruise at a very reasonable price and tailor your overall itinerary to include other tempting destinations around Myanmar. Please contact us for details.
Staterooms.
The Pandaw stateroom is the most celebrated feature of the ships. Finished in brass and teak, the main and upper deck rooms are very spacious at 168 square feet (15.6 square metres). Pandaw guests are not looking for the features of an international hotel; the cabins therefore do not include such features as mini bars amd satellite TVs. Unlike other cruise ships, every window (except port holes on lower deck) can open.
Dining and Bar.
The Pandaw dining rooms are designed to open up along the sides. Pandaw offers a great choice of local cuisine and exotic foods. Breakfast and lunch are buffets and dinner is served at the tables. Guests who do not like hot or spicy foods are offered European alternatives and vegetarians are well catered for. A 24 hour honesty bar operates on the sundeck.
